It'd also springboard the capability of adapting the same crude design for other uses in a pinch. Like having the ability for a dropped long range support.Right now I've drafted replacements for both the Puma and Paladin, the Panther and Partisan respectively, the Panther has one fully articulated arm and one pod, and the Partisan has a pair of smaller manipulators that fold up against its front. However I wonder if the Panther really needs that and I doubt the Partisan's current arms would be any use in righting itself.
I considered semi-articulate arms for the Partisan like the Puma currently uses but that would shift it's high mounted weapons down very low...hmmm...
What of flip up weapons pods that use a flip down reload mechanism to counter the reloading issues?
