And you're right, they dont. Most Commando Eltes have their dary ammo carried on hip mounted ammo box instead while the back carries the larger cannon ammo no to mention they use single barrel gas operated MG. Wolf on the hand have variable RoF so it can be adjusted for ammo conservation or high fire power.

And obviously he's been carrying that thing for so long he's so good at it. You probably couldn't even pick it up, much less hang on to it when the trigger is pulled.
The mechanism of a gatling gun is pretty complicated though. And to make it work with a cannon in the center you would have to build the entire gatling gun mechanism right onto the barrel of the cannon.
I'm pretty sure I've seen some people have hip fired a minigun before l be it's a 7.62mm one(M134) still it was adjusted to a lower RoF so that the recoil is less significant.
Also I've seen some rotary cannon that has a hallow center(GAU-22) that gave me the idea of having a cannon barrel going through a gatling gun.
