I want an RTS where this is not a thing.
I also remember sometimes where putting them on that setting got a valuable unit killed in SupCom and C&C because I didn't notice something.
In short, I'm just bad at RTS and like to hide behind poorly constructed arguments... Though in this case it was the game's fuck up for not having that feature.
