Yeah, that was a good mod. Shame a lot of my personal favorites are stuck back in 1.7.10...

I like the idea of improving Minecraft's combat, but I don't like the implementation. It seems to just be there to make combat longer than actually more fun. The shield slot looks like it was tacked on by a mod, and doesn't really fit with the rest of the UI (unless they've changed that). It will make any mod which has items, especially those with l/r click functions, take even longer to update, and will needlessly complicate things. If I recall correctly, armor is also much less useful now, making it even easier to die than it already is.
The only thing I really like about it is that axes and stuff are now viable weapons and don't take ludicrous x2 durability damage from doing so.
