MMOs want your money. They also want you to get addicted and/or play their game a lot so they get even more money.
So far, this game* doesn't seem very heavy on the money aspect. You can buy stuff, yeah, including premium which gives you some extra but unnessessary features, but it is by no means shoved in your face. Heck, there's even a currency exchange where you can trade lots of money for premium currency.
*Game is Blade and Soul. Recently released in NA and EU. Published by NCSoft. Gameplay is similar to Aeon, I guess, if anyone's played that. Good time so far, doesn't feel too grindy either. Voice acting is pretty awful. I'm mostly just skipping the story in this one.
