But those are MY servers you're talking about.
And last I checked the Borg didn't exist yet in this century, other than during a time travel incident that has probably been declared non-canonical again.
Oh and we're really in the matrix, not the nexus.
Either way, CONSTRUCT ADDITIONAL PYLONS.
Yes, but do you have the physical machinery on which the servers are running, or are you leasing runtime from someone else (the Borg)?
Even if you do have the machinery, you could very well be Borg.
Also, you can't construct additional pylons because you don't have enough minerals.
The borg is actually a great example of a well implemented cloud solution.
Which thinking about that a little is making me even more paranoid about the cloud. I already don't trust it because there is no way to know where your data physically resides and who else has access to it, but comparing the borg to the cloud suddenly its a lot more unnerving.
On the other hand my equipment is not cloud-based. Yes it is highly available, but it is not redundant nor is it capable of seamless migration should the hardware fail. Since the borg implement both functions by their very nature as a distributed computing architecture and information repository, I can confirm by those two limitations alone that I am not leasing borg technology.
