There's nothing to worry about, the delay is just a practical strategy to deal with limited time. I have until the end of this month to get all my dialogue written and recorded, but after that I can take as long as I need to (keeping in mind the fact that people are waiting) to assemble it into the finished episodes, so the logical approach is to record the dialogue first.
As for not knowing what I'll do after this arc ends, don't be sad. I always meant this to be a proof of concept arc: is this something people will like, and is it something I can do? It seems like the answer to both is yes, but it's hard and it takes a long time. I can work at hard things for a long period of time, but I'm approaching the end of my bachelors degree and may moving abroad for months or even years. I could end up any number of places, many of which won't be conductive to running a YouTube channel--rainforest field schools in the Australia or Nicaragua, or possibly Peace Corps service. Maybe all three.
I'm not disappointed or discouraged in how this project has turned out (it is the most popular series on my channel), but as I look forward I have to keep in mind several possible futures that could make running a YouTube channel unsustainable. If so, I'm considering doing some prose stories, since I can do that anywhere with internet...
...Unless they send me to China, where I would be censored into oblivion.
On another note, I haven't updated or Starbound played properly for some time, but I have a strong suspicion that the upcoming story update is going to stop all over this series' continuity. Oh well, it's AU, I can still do whatever I want. :p
