How about 400 series stainless steel? While most stainless steel is not magnetic, 400 series is. The correct forming process would result in a bullet that literally hardens in-flight as a result of the forces, and then either deforms on soft targets or shatters explosively on hardened targets.
Still though, how many barrels? Argh. Probably just three. Two would be too complicated with no real pay off, and any more than 5 would, again, be too complicated with no real pros compared to less.
