So, what does everyone think about the plan to move control of ICANN from USA control to international?

I can fully understand the worries that giving up US control could lead to... less commendable governments getting more control over it than they should.
Yeah, full US control isn't exactly a good thing, but it's probably better than if the many countries with oppressive regimes got together and took it over from the inside.
No matter how secure something seems to be, people will find a way around it.
