For those who haven't seen it yet here is what the new Skyrim will look like compared to the old one. No actual texture improvements but the atmosphere changes are pleasantly noticeable.
From what I've read the textures have actually been made better, although it might just be that they made the Highres DLC part of the base game.
I still can't believe this is happening. It seems redundant, somehow, but at least PCers are allegedly getting it free.
Also I though PC players were only getting the old DLC carried over if they already owned the original?
edit: just checked /r/skyrim, Bethesda does indeed claim that owning Skyrim legendary qualifies you for a free upgrade
