A 1,500kg suit designed to rip and tear through ablative plating would probably put a serious hurt on most light or medium vehicles. Also remember that a modern MBT would be classed as a heavy vehicle by BT standards. The Ogre also uses Heavy Battle Claws, which are as a technology intended for ripping armor off of battlemechs. Sarna doesn't specify any further details on effectivity but I doubt you could expect much against an Atlas with one.(06-20-2016, 05:56 AM)Surge Wrote: Well I was slightly serious, the Ogre has a reputation for being able to rip tanks in half. It can't actually do that but its massive claws and arms are explicitly built to rip into combat vehicles.
the most it would be doing is damaging weapon housing/turreting and mobility. Designating it to rapidly disable rather than destroy them. Which in this case may as well be the same thing on the battlefields of battletech. So there wouldn't be any rip and tear, just a lot of sarcastic "oops, I broke it."
