I cant recall the exact temperature of Avalon but I'm sure it's enough to freeze mercury, imagine way before the railguns, avali shoots mercury ball muskets
Multiple problems with that idea, but it is an interesting idea nontheless.
-Avalon is too cold. It would be very difficult to get even Mercury to the point it melts, pretty sure, since combustible materials are few and far between on a frozen wasteland.
-The Avali never got to that level of technology - they were primal and were sort of skipped a few massive tech levels up if I recall. If anything, they had bows and arrows. Maybe crossbows. Probably no musket-level tech yet.
-Mercury isn't a very common element. They would need to find large deposits on Avalon, a way to mine it, a way to work it, and a way to not die from poisoning from it (pretty sure Mercury would be equally as horribly toxic to Avali as it is to Water-based life.)
-What would the Musket itself be made from? I don't think early Avali did a lot of metalwork, since the temperatures needed were too high. Could also be mercury I guess?
That said, it would be kind of hilarious.
