RE: Avali Nexus Forum 1: A Cold Phoenix - SCN-3_NULL - 05-17-2015 now this plane is a thing of beauty RE: Avali Nexus Forum 1: A Cold Phoenix - Surge - 05-17-2015 Alright tapatalk working again. The function of the v.stab being to stop the aircraft sliding horizontally while banking or turning. I'm not entirely convinced that aircraft would have sufficient "grip" as it were with those weird slopey stabilisers, and you'd need add pretty big stabilisers to the wing tips to have the same result :p RE: Avali Nexus Forum 1: A Cold Phoenix - Segolia - 05-17-2015 (05-17-2015, 10:02 AM)Ryuujin Wrote:I just realised. I know it's ace combat though but these control surfaces seem very dubious - the way they move doesn't seem to correlate to how the plane moves either.(05-17-2015, 09:59 AM)Segolia Wrote: Apparently yaw control is a thing of the past.Rudder control can be achieved through small flaps on the extreme ends of the aircraft's wingspan RE: Avali Nexus Forum 1: A Cold Phoenix - SCN-3_NULL - 05-17-2015 (05-17-2015, 09:59 AM)Segolia Wrote:(05-17-2015, 09:54 AM)SCN-3_NULL Wrote: Yaw control is achived through 2-D thrust vectoring as seen in the video, it had a Yaw thrust vectoring nozzle rather than F-22's 2-D Pitch thrust vectoring RE: Avali Nexus Forum 1: A Cold Phoenix - Gonzogonz - 05-17-2015 (05-17-2015, 10:05 AM)Ryuujin Wrote:(05-17-2015, 10:02 AM)Surge Wrote: Rudder control can be achieved through small flaps on the extreme ends of the aircraft's wingspan fucking Christ, what don't you know?
