Welp, there goes 15 hours of gameplay down the drain.
Just uninstalled Fallout: New Vegas and got rid of everything (including saves) of it from my computer.
Going to redo the install with Mod Organizer, get profiles set up, etc. etc. this time, and probably have a vaguely different mod setup (with less conflicts)
I decided to do this because the crashing was getting to be too much.
The game would sometimes have a "not responding" crash:
-On the title screen.
-When bartering.
-In the Mod Configuration Menu
etc.
It would sometimes have a "to desktop" crash:
-When wandering around
-When initiating combat
-When in combat
-When entering a new cell
etc.
And I had every fix under the sun installed pretty much.
Ugh. How did I get Skyrim superstable (minus a glaring bug I'm trying to get help sorting out) and end up making F:NV a buggy mess?
I guess it's because mods were less compatible with eachother in F:NV and the game was generally buggier? I dunno.
I EVEN HAD A MERGED PATCH, WHICH MY SKYRIM LACKS. (Skyrim doesn't even have a Merged OR Bashed Patch. Yet it's stable. ASDFGHJKL)

Also: Good night.
In my experience, New Vegas is already a lot more crash-prone than Skyrim from the get-go, even without any mods, even with all the unofficial patches and anti-crashes on. Hell, it's even more unstable than Oblivion, which was worse than Skyrim in that area.
Really, not much point in trying to draw a parallel... this is just my experience, but it says "If you New Vegas, save very, very often."

I have 160 mods (201 plugins) and it hasn't crashed once in 15 hours.
Maybe y'all are just bad at modding

you're being very brooding right now

No, I had a mental breakdown from stress via social related things and learned that I'm perfectly happy in small groups of people. Actually spreading myself thin over a lot of people is what caused the stress.
So long as I don't emotionally invest in larger groups of peeps, I'm fine.
There's more to it than that, but that's my own personal business.

Oh. That makes more sense.
I'm just going to play on a new save file for now. If I start getting the same problems, we know that CRP is causing it.
