Well, I could do that by making the offshoot part of the [SPOILERS] group, who are several species that [CENSORED] [EXPUNGE] [LEVEL 4 ACCESS REQUIRED] [GOBLINS GOBLINS GOBLINS].
They would be able to survive on an earth-like world for a short time without any survival gear; A few hours with it.
This would even make sense in terms of their nomadic lifestyle. Being better suited for different environments would make them less restricted on where they set up camp.
