If you think about it, though, the laws of physics would still apply in a ship, right? Therefore the people inside would remain unaffected.
Kind of like how everybody isn't piled up in the back of a moving train.
Even then, you could just design it so that the passengers have to be strapped in facing the front of the ship during the hyperjump.
Funnily enough, in said dream, I think it was used to increase bodily movement, allowing things like those badass ninja cut-dashes.
(not that I'm going to ask you to implement that- it'd be OP as hell)
