Seconded.

More or less, just mechanics though world generation does get laggy(for me) sometime

World generation shouldn't be a problem for you at all as it is handled by the server.

World generation is always a problem, mods or not.

Yes but not on the clients. The sever generates the world and sends it to the clients.

Yes, but all the rendering can still cause lag clientside, and serverside lag caused by worldgen is a prominent issue in 80% of servers.

Rendering and world generation are not the same thing!

Did I say they were the same thing? No.
What I said was that rendering a lot of terrain can cause clientside lag. Going through lots of worldgen means more rendering, and therefore more lag.

It does not mean more rendering. The client would have to do the same amount of rendering it would have to do if it was chunks that were already generated.
still by the sound of it, it doesnt quite help with my occasionally massive packet loss issue, any suggestions on the fix and how it happen?
(it doesnt happen back on sky factory)

Unfortunately, we currently have no idea what's causing it.

Apparently mekanism tunnels a VoIP server through Minecraft. That's totally not going to impact network performance...
Why does it even need a voice server?
well crud, on my another expedition the game started to lag out and I'm forced to log out before night fall, now that usually getting back in leaves me a minute or two unable to response and open for any attack........

ah, fuck, screw it, lost all my gear, I quit

well I cant recover it, the grave is too far away for me to recover without lagging all over the place, unless someone recover it for me
well stonehearth keeps crashing on me(what I get for using a pirated copy), I think I might comeback....but I still need someone who is not as laggy to retrieve my gear
anyway, I've recovered my stuff and barely make it back, but still no luck on the inscriber plates, I've left a meteorite compass in the chest was my presentb to find meteorites, I also restocked some iron since someone used up all of it.

I've made a iron crop though.
