Species: Avali
Gender: Male
Occupation: Tactical/Recon/IT
Personality: With wild and usually unpredictable mood swings between cold efficiency and great shows of friendship and compassion, Nahaku has a troubled past. He will carry his job out with ruthless efficiency, and seems to take pleasure in bringing to justice anyone who wrongs him or the few people he cares for. His most treasured possession is a battered blue wizard’s hat, but he refuses to explain where he found it or why he keeps it. Records indicate he worked in REDACTED for a few years where he learnt his technical abilities, but there is a large blank period in those files. He reappeared many years later with a changed personality and an extensive knowledge of ordnance and firearms which points to time spent as special operations or a bounty hunter. However, nobody actually knows which is probably why there is still a good deal of speculation.
Description: Black primary feathers with vibrant blue highlights, especially on the wingtips and ears. Trace of a scar behind the bottom right ear. Height of around two metres standing erect and a lithe build. Incredibly fast reflexes and hand-eye coordination, allowing fast reactions and incredible displays of marksmanship.

Is this good enough?
// You have been accepted.

// I believe we have just enough players. Standby for the captain's speech in less than 2 days.
// One thing I would like to stress: Do not hesitate to ask for descriptions. This can be anything from a better description of the area around you, to the details of a certain item. Bullshitting your way through the RP without any idea what stuff looks like will quickly result in a stupid death, where you finally realize that the cargo pallet you took is not built for space battles. You will also completely miss any items or information that may be in the area.
// Seriously. Asking for descriptions is not dishonorable. And no, you can't just hijack the RP and describe stuff yourself, because that results in discrepancies.

//Just like when you make up details in a murder.  I mean, it's nothing like that.  It totally is actually.

It's happening today, be calm.
One or two of you have been onboard for only a day now, but most of you have accumulated days over the final preparations. The ship has been still this entire time, still anchored to the orbital dock. Finally, it seems, speakers scattered throughout the ship crackle to life.

"All crew, this is Bridge Officer Vivian. Before liftoff, our Captain would like to make a speech."

The captain goes off into a long speech about discovery and our purpose in life, about truth and science, yadayadayada. Most of you aren't listening and everyone else quickly forgets the details.

Oh God, he's still talking.

"...As the crew of this Deep Space Battlecruiser, the Second Eden, our mission is to seek out this new universe, now open to us."

There is a bit of silence before the Bridge Officer takes back the mic.

"All crew, prepare for undock and warp to Oort Station."

Call your first action.
Sirius is...
Reading. In his room. On his bunk.
He wasn't really paying attention to the speech. He figured they'd be going into space anyway- why else would he be on a ship?
Well, other than the fact that it's practically his home.
Nonetheless, he figured he might as well get out for a bit. Watch the takeoff from a window. Maybe talk to someone.
Or maybe just watch the takeoff from a window.
As such, he marks his place and gets up off the bottom bunk, walking out the door and locking it behind him.
Silver was in his own room when the captain made his speech. He paused the game he was playing to listen.

Unlike most of the others, he listened very intently. He was excited to be going into space, to explore the unknown. Maybe a bit less excited to be confined to the ship's corridors between destinations, but said destinations would make it worth it... right?

The Jakkai turned his game off, put his uniform on, and left the room. He started heading for where he thought the mess hall was; there were likely to be windows there, and the chance to know more about his fellow crewmembers. Alas, the ship was almost like a maze to him; it had taken him almost an entire afternoon just to find his room the first time.

(First time participating in this sort of RP, so let me know if I'm doing something incorrectly.)

You step out into the beige halls, and are cut off sharply by the ship suddenly jolting. The docking clamps must have been unlocked.

You are currently in hall Thorned Crescent Square. A few other people seemed to have the same idea as you, and are stumbling back to their feet.

Sirius stumbles, but somehow managed to stay... Mostly upright.
He walks over to a window, if there's one nearby.

You were already out in the hall when the clamps release.

Roll for stability: [You: 5] [Natural forces: 4] You keep upright despite lack of support.

Silver manages to keep his balance with quick movements of his tail and arms.

He looks around, trying to locate the nearest window.

(Is this the same hall Sirius is in?)

You step to the window. Through the glass, you can see the grey steel of the orbital dock, the spidery lattice lit up by a hundred small dots, and beyond is the shining yet desolate surface of a red moon, pits and craters casting odd shadows that stretch across your low-orbit view.

No, you are in hall Mystic Crystal Square. There are no windows nearby, as you are surrounded by other halls.
Cross sat in her room. Her legs were crossed and she waited for takeoff. It was probably going to be rough.
Probably.
In fact, that's the only reason she hadn't cleaned the room yet...

Silver continues down the hall, attempting to locate either windows or the Mess Hall, whichever he reaches first.

You wait for Engineering to activate the engines. You are prepared... And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait.

This is going to be a while.

Having continued down the hall, you reach the end of Mystic hall, and for that matter the edge of Crystal block. A perpendicular hallway streches to both sides, which must be the border between two blocks. There aren't any doorways in this perimeter hall.
Down the left side of the hall, you can see a window at the end, the right stretches on to other blocks, across the ship.

Silver is trying to memorize the symbols for the different halls as he goes along.

He sees the window, but since he figures the ship will take a while to actually start moving, he decides to go right instead.
(would there be a shuttle in the hangar for exploration teams and would it contain the gear they will use on expeditions or would the portable scanners and such be stored separately)

(There is an Exploration Corvette, which is what I assume is used for expeditions.)

(the question about gear storage remains then)
