The elevator shifted down, (Or up as it were) as the loudspeakers shouted out the announcement, just as Sho arrived at the destined floor.  And he quickly hit up the large mess, without much of a glance up or around.  He took up a seat on the floor next to one of the bolted tables rather than upon it, and awaited the jump.  He'd get his rations AFTER the jump.

Wait, why are there no elevators nearby?
Aren takes a deep breath, reminds himself that yelling at the walls won't help, and determined which elevator is closest before heading in that direction.
The closest is to your west. You head to that elevator. Which level were you going to again?

Silver soon closes his eyes, now watering and stinging a little, but he smiles anyway. The view was worth it.

He briefly dismounts the chair, turns it away from the window with his dexterous tail, and hops back on it to look around the mess hall. Or at least he attempts to do those things; he might be dizzy from watching the stars too long.

You can't see anyone you recognize from here. (It's difficult to recognize people you don't know yet.)

You do see a Jakkai who appears to be tripping from the warp.
Cross approached the Jakkai, and cleared her throat softly. "Are you okay?"
As you get closer, you realize they're just very dizzy from staring at the warp too long. The Jakkai turns around on it's tail and looks back at you.

Unlike other levels, the elevator opens not to an open room, but a dark-grey hallway. It's a little claustrophobic, lit by bright white lights, and lacks vents, so the air tastes stagnant. From what you both can see, it goes on for a while before making a turn.

You're not in the same hallway, by the way.

You are now halfway to the crate. The density of people is more comfortable here.

You pick up the crate. It's weight shifts around uncomfortably.
