Very prominent in the face of this slab of material is a hexagonal socket that looks as though it is meant to recieve some sort of crystal, and has a series of notches in the back as though wiring could be connected.

This "crystal" thing actually sounds a lot like one of the odd things abotu the Ether crystals' home dimension... Oftentimes, when something's killed, it'll leave behind a white Ether crystal with random aspects the locals use for creating gems. It's a bit strange, actua-
