As for me, I don't get a winter or summer coat. My fur's always like this, and it's not very insulative... Hence why I wear clothes and have a temperature control mutation.

Makes sense, I guess. It's kinda annoying, though, mostly because of the shedding...though the weird part is the fact my fur doesn't fall out when getting it, despite it changing color. I dunno why, but...well, it's weird.

Yeah... Same here. Especially since it has a strange energy signal I haven't identified... But it most likely might be a new kind of Ether.
