Danu was floating her orb near some control panels, looking to see if they had any markings that would suggest what their functionality was.

Yeah, you're probably right... Let's focus on getting this thing off the ground and into space without us on it, though.

I said stop arguing. The more you talk about it, the more hostile you and gonz get towards each other, so drop it. We've wasted enough time arguing already.

Danu helps them get Marxon off of the drill and onto a solid looking maintenance platform, a bit unnerved by the sudden darkness but not letting it stop her. She quickly casts one of her orbs to illuminate their surroundings and make sure nobody slips off the platform into a dark abyss.

//As far as deaths go, the crystal forms separately from the corpse. In practice it is better to recover the corpse because it can be examined for health problems that can be corrected in the cloned body that is constructed to replace it, and then properly disposed of or recycled as raw material for further clones.

//While it is better to retrieve both corpse and crystal, only the crystal is needed to revive someone. If Marxon was killed such a crystal would form, but if he chooses not to be revived it will quickly blacken and shatter before it can be activated for revival.

Well have to keep Marx's body here and connected- so gonz, no taking his body.
Our next step is to work our way to the terminal... We'll be able to shut down whatever's powering the defenses and, hopefully, get this thing back in space on a self-destruct timer.

Lock down initiated.

*the doors quickly slam shut, only letting a handful of monsters enter, one immediately leaps and tackles gonzogonz*

Coolant flush activated, location : middle maintenance.

*this causes everything beyond the doors to be frozen solid*

Lock down ended, coolant flush complete.

Entering standby...

Shit!
*leaps over to the monster, activating the Gatecrashers and kicking it- the force is enough to send a locked door off its hinges and flying several yards away*

Need to commence another session..

*sighs before walking into the lab*
*begins shooting monsters as they get close enough for the machine gun to be effective* i hope we can find the ship controls in here.

just wishful thinking.
Right, now how do we deal with all this... If we destroy it, it'll destroy the planet, there's not much time to get to the terminal and kill the process, we have no guide...
I'd say we're all pretty much doomed. Nice knowing you guys...
