If there's one thing I know for certain about Samhain from what Enochiah's told me, it's that he's hella cocky.
I wouldn't be surprised if he never showed up again and just assumed that his... Crapteros managed to kill everyone.

Of course, I could also be talking out of my ass and he could show up any second.
...
...
Well, so far so good.

"If he's cocky, we could probably trick him into giving up the power... Call him a coward for using it, maybe, and say that if he's truly powerful, he'll be able to take us down without the G.O.D."
"Then again, he could be smarter than that."

Yeah, he's crazy but you have to remember in his own twisted way he's a genius...
I mean, he figured out how to tap into the Scribes' energy reserves and convert it into a form he could make use of. That's pretty impressive considering literally everything about them is completely alien.

"True. Apparently his Ateros is trying to rebel, though, and told us that it's acting as a buffer for his power... We get his Ateros out of the equation, and he'll probably lose control and end up killing himself. We'll need some really powerful psychic ability for that, though..."

Energy, plentiful.

Danu winces a bit though at the jolt, and the burning sensation of the amount of power she was absorbing. Though it wouldn't do anything about how weak her body currently was, it would at least let her use her abilities again to heal people around her.

"Thank you. I don't believe we've met yet, do I know you?"

"Well, we at least can start moving to Umbras house. We can't risk opening the pocket dimension, at least not with the state Umbra's in. I need time to gather the materials anyway."

I guess I could stand guard out here all night. It's not different from what I usually do.

"Right. I'll at least clear some space... There should be enough room on the first floor, in the bedroom, and on the pavilion that we can all fit. I might be able to get some bunk frames together, too..." And with that, Umbra goes inside his house.

I had indeed gone to my house for a bit to recharge.

Well the difference is that you actually need sleep. For whatever reason I have never been handicapped by a limited power supply like wurg
//i have to go, but just so you know if anybody does a head count of us then they will notice Austin is missing, his house will be locked and he will be in his closet, he will also shoot but miss anybody who finds him friend or foe, then he will go with them if they are a friend, if foe he shall fight to the best of his ability.
"Oh. Well, good luck stranger."

Danu sighs, realizing the person who was giving her energy had left.

She flexes a little, it felt good at least to not be completely drained.

"Wherever they are, I'll find them soon."

Oh! What if we overloaded his Ateros with a huge burst of energy? Like what happened to Wryb that time with the capacitor or whatever.

Yeah, but my character is used to running on little sleep. He'll be grumpy, but otherwise unaffected.

Yeah, that should work! I've got the ability to make 'overload grenades' that worked really well on the cheap Ateros knockoffs... Those should do the trick. A similar thing happened to Surge and caused him to lose all his memories... He has them again, but he's still not the same person. Which I guess is an improvement... He's a lot nicer than he used to be. Much more calm.
The banging of hammer and nail on wood can be heard from inside Umbra's house. Sounds like he's making those bunks.

// you don't understand, a body MUST sleep or the brain doesn't form new memories, and the damage will cause insanity.

// unless you can consciously simulate the proper sleep cycle...

Well, you see, electric Ether crystals store up a lot of energy, and once the crystal is even minorly fractured, the energy usually all pours out as electricity. If you want a burst of energy, that's what we'll want to use.
