The spell starts to gather a serious amount of energy, as Danu beneath it is breathing deep and sweating pushing her limits.

Tim quickly runs to Danu, yelling over the crackling of the spell she is charging.
"Wait! If you summon lightning now, you could cause the fire to get worse! Or you could hurt one of us by accident!! Wait to pass judgement, there are far worse things than letting him live, for now! Just wait until things have calmed down! Then, we can decide what to do with him! Spare him for now!"

*the fire has died down considerably at this point due to the downpour*

Right now, though, we've got bigger problems on our hands.
We can't fix you as far as I know, and if we let you live anyway, you'll only cause more trouble.
If we kill you, we'll get nine more of you, which we don't need...

Danu's eyes had almost a fire in them instead of the soft golden tone of her usual calm self, as she took aim with her magic.

That enormous ball of energy burst forth from her grasp, and dissappeared in midair.


Danatre would suddenly feel an immense pressure on his body, and dissappear from view to be engulfed in a white glow with purple traces swirling angrily through it, gradually changing in size to be about half Danu's height and rather rounded.


When the light finally cleared away, the results were apparent.

Somehow, Danu had turned Danatre into an Avali, one of the short birdlike creatures native to the land everyone had come to live in.

A red array of runes seared his back, smoking briefly before fading from sight as all of his powers were sealed.

"I have now judged you, and enforce the following punishment upon you. You will live out the remainder of a mortal's life as one of these Avali creatures who lives in these lands. Your powers are sealed until further notice. If you try to kill yourself to escape this punishment, I will revive you as many times as necessary to make sure your pennance is fufilled and the curse upon you is lifted."

She suddenly sank to her knees and broke down into tears.

"Danatre, I want to help you. I know what its like to be forgotten, to go from somebody everyone knew to having nobody at all around to care about you. If there is any goodness at all left in you, I want to see it- I want you to remember it and with it who you used to be. Only will the curse be lifted."

//I talked to ehksidian about this situation, and we came up with this solution as an alternative to banning penguin from the RP. Consider yourself warned- you are being given one last chance to straighten up and fly right. Nobody likes characters that mope about wishing they were dead.

I probably shouldn't take my background knowledge of magic and apply it to spells I see...
