"Argh... Not a good way to fall asleep..."
He knocks on Wurg's wall.
I stick my head out of the wall right by Umbra - after all, he was sitting by the front door. "Hey Umbra. You look pretty tired...did you manage to stop the terraformer?"
"Yes, but..." He takes Danu's crystal out of his pocket. "Danu died stabilizing the reactor so we could eventually get the ship off the ground..."
[meanwhil outside the terraformer]
I could have done so much more, if I handnt been ported out.
It probaly was for the grater good
Danu's crystal sparkles in the light, perfectly transparent as Umbra holds it. Like with penguin, it needed to be activated before her revival could begin.
For some reason though Umbra could feel a warm sensation all over his body, as though Danu was gently holding him from behind.
Her voice answered him again. Sorry about all this. I made it a rule among my people not to reveal what we are outside of dire emergency, and to refrain from using our abilities as much as practical to allow destiny to properly shape the world. Once my crystal is activated, place it in the dias- but do not let it try to clone me. Its not possible to create clones of high order angels, the result is instead a fallen- a true monster which has powers on par with my own but is unable to control them.

My face fell. "...We can bring her back, though. I don't think anyone would object to that. I certainly wouldn't."
"Well, she's not completely dead... I'm getting telepathic messages from her. We can't clone her, unfortunately... The result would be a monster."
"I'll hold on to the crystal while we get support... We might need to keep me connected with her."

So... You're not coming back? Or... What will the Dias do?
Now I'm hoping the drones didn't try and clone you with what was left...
I've not actually been a being of physical body since I was 30 or so in my first life. Once my kind matures, we become creatures of purely energy. The body you saw die was one I created for myself to have the convenience of interacting normally and living as a mortal, I'll make another for myself eventually. For the time being though I am bound to the crystal form until it activates.
For a brief moment it seemed like Umbra and Ehksidian could see a shimmering image of Danu, her arms around Umbra's waist from behind him with all 6 of her wings spread where in her physical form she was only able to release 4 of the 6.
What are we going to do about Marxon? We couldn't unplug him from the ship, and had to leave him in there.. though the ship did try to heal me, perhaps it would have healed him as well and will release him once it is properly repaired.

"Okay. But...if we can't clone her, how will we bring her back?"
"Not sure... I just asked her. There's got to be some way to do it..."
"...Ghah, I feel so guilty... Moments before she died, I had a vision... I could have prevented it somehow, but all I could do was watch her die..."

Well, that's good...
As for Marx, I think he was uploaded into the database to replace the A.I.... Remember that familiar voice?
Either it'll put him back when it's all ready, or I can extract him when it's time.
Either way, I need to get rid of this medical knowledge I'll never use...
"All right, Danu will be fine. Can you put her in a Dais and not activate a cloning tank? When the crystal is ready, that is."
"I also need to work on getting the climate back to normal... It's freezing out here!"

"You said she died stabilizing the reactor, right? If it was a nuclear reactor of some sort...even if she did get out, I think she would have had some bad radiation poisoning..." I sighed. I looked up, just in time, to see Danu flicker in and out of existence. At least, that's what it seemed like to me.
"I just hope everything'll be alright."
"It should be... But there were some drones back there that tried to recreate her body. I hope they didn't succeed... I don't think we could deal with the resulting monster."
"Anyway, I'm going to prime the weather machine... That should get rid of the changes the ship made."

"Good luck. Ehks is getting a bit stir-crazy, being stuck inside so much. He'll be glad to know that he could at least go outside without dying of hypothermia."
Umbra re-enters his house. After some time, an escalating electric hum reverberates through the air, then a ball of red energy rises from the tree and into the sky before exploding in a wave of heat and what resembles fireworks, reversing the climate change but also causing a downpour.
"Well... Guess we'll have to wait."
*hides under one of the apple trees, and begins to tinker with his wepon*
It's a shame I didn't get to test it

*Austin runs outside, he had gone into is house when umbra teleported them away, he had in this time become his bat form* yay rain *he then sits outside in the rain quite happily*

"Guess so."
[It's not cold as hell frozen over any more?]
[It's warming up, yes.]
[Hallelujah. Cold weather for a bit is fine, but not hypothermia-cold.]
I clear my throat, and look around. "Hm...should we wait until the rain stops, or maybe we could start gethering support now? I know at least Ehks and I will support, and I don't doubt you would."
"Let's wait. Danu's crystal should be fine until then."
*marx's body lays quietly at the base of the self repairing ship, terraforming now offline the collective AI now is focused on fixing the decades of grevious damage done to it by pirates and the like...
If marx did indeed die, he at least did so doing what he loved*
