Oh, I have experience with bloodborne diseases... There's a similar thing in another dimension called the Plague of Beasts. It's not pretty...

Matter of fact, I figured out Ether-powered "tranquilizers"- they're kind of like tasers, but they're projectile weapons. Small enough to pass off as a handgun.

You are not further damaging my ship for 2 reasons, 1. I have to repair everything eventually. 2. Its structural integrity is already compromised.
