I won't let you die, not on my watch.
And i'm gonna die and be stuck in a crystal for eternity.
Eh.

mhm... so you turn... godlike? after being left in the Void... hmm... makes sense.
"I was to begin with. At its height, my people had very nearly attained the power of the gods. We could alter time and space to suit our liking, using technology so sophisticated that most folk who were not aware of how it works simply treated it as magic.
But the natural order of the world we lived in soon was damaged by all of that tampering and manipulation. It started to deform, and the betrayal was brought on because my brother realized that the world was reaching its limit- that it would not be able to endure it much longer, and he needed to allow it to end peacefully to spare everyone in it from eternal damnation. In the end... I killed him. I killed him and myself in the process. Sentencing myself alone to eternal suffering because I could not control my emotions in that final moment of existing.
Your world faces that same danger. Travellers from many dimensions have converged here, and people have been altering the flow of time for their own personal gain or for petty amusement. That simply will not do, you will inevitably destroy yourselves that way."

"There is not. At the time I was in posession of a ship known as the Genesis, capable of making flights to other dimensions and timelines. The collapse was so complete that said ship literally began to disentegrate while mid warp trying to escape to another plane of existance. It crashed and killed my family, leaving me to face my brother alone."
*After a while, a strange construct lies on the ground.
Each of its arms and legs aren't attached to the torso at all.
It seems to be colored red, white, and yellow, with symbols of the same bird from the well appearing on its limbs.*
Done. I even got to eat your whole pantry.

"You're right, I can't be sure. But the genesis was no pleasure boat. It was an Eden class ship- a ship capable of entering the void delibrately and creating life there. The very matrix it had helped create saw its undoing. And yet I did survive in a way, to be having this conversation now with you. To recreate such a ship is beyond my knowledge, but I remember the journeys it took."
Danu pets Marxon with one hand as she eats with the other, stacking up cleared plates next to her since she didn't want to disturb the sleeping avali to get up and put them in the sink. Eventually she would have to though since there were things still cooking.

i have done some studies of the void myself. the void is sort of... a baseline. in Thaumaturgy. the same way physics has E=MC^2, Essentia and many of the... less obvious forces of the world... comes from the void, and where it seeps into our, or any other world. and i'm think that if energy, essentia, vis can travel out of there, something must be able to go back in. the same way when you blow into a glass, it pushes the air, already in the glass, out... though the void is an unstable and unpredictable place, many Thaumaturges believe it to be the source of their "magic", but really... there isn't any conclusive evidence it's the void, it could be some other... pocket or dimension with similar... properties.
i have made a few interesting discoveries on the void... one of which is a mirror. the mirror can transport small, in organic items relatively short distances by use of "throwing" them through the void.
Where Umbra is.. i hope for the best.
