Which is why Borderlands isn't worth more than 1 playthrough

Really, just don't bother with the OP levels and you'll be fine.
OP8 is when the game is no longer fun and becomes a question of "Is my build overpowered enough to scratch this basic enemy?".
Despite normal mode in BL2 having the same dilemma.

E-Tech is more like the text color in my post you quoted.
nope, your name is defiantly magenta

the one in your post is a bit more like
very rare purple

...No it doesn't.
I have a feeling you didn't even play the game. Anything works in Normal.
Anything.
I could kill the Normal mode Warrior with level 1 guns and post the video here, I just need enough GBs of empty space to record a 20 minute video.

Can confirm, I took it down in less than five minutes at level 35 with a Slag Conference Call and nothing else.
Meanwhile mid level marauders were a consistent source of grief and (relative to a cannon fodder enemy) ridiculously capable of soaking up fire from similarly leveled guns.

LVL 50 Warrior, I assume.
Because killing a LVL 30 boss with an over-leveled legendary is kinda lame. :p

...Or you could kill them in one to two shots.
With the most common of Jakobs shotgun.
I assume you're used to how things work in other FPS games, where enemies take 3 to 5 shots from a rifle to kill. Where in Borderlands, it takes about 15 from a white assault rifle. (TVHM)
If enemies died in about a second while using high-ROF common guns, that would completely break the balance of Borderlands.

When it takes so much ammo to kill literally any enemy that a large fire fight will see me burn through THREE different types of guns at full ammo, the balance is already busted.

Level 30. Again, this was my first run through.
Actually beat the tiny Tina DLC before going to beat Jack/The Warrior. that's how i
got the conference call in fact.

You can get over a thousand bullets of ammo capacity for assault rifles, 300 or so for shotguns, and 120 or so for sniper rifles.
There are ammo chests everywhere, and enemies regularly drop ammo.
There's no way you will ever run out of ammo, unless if you're fighting a boss, if you didn't resupply, or if you're not aiming for the head.
Yup, still thinking you haven't actually played the game.

Not all of us play Krieg. Some of us have to actually use cover instead of running in and meleeing everything in sight.

Krieg barely has any gun skills.
I'm talking about guns here!
Bullets!
You know, those little pointy lead and copper things!

Yes and if you're able to catch the ammo drops from anyone but the psychos you are either not using them or you're inappropriately tanky.
I have a setup on Commando that triples your fire rate and I still never run out of ammo on my TMP.

I have spent so much eridium on ammo upgrades and always try to get the most of my ammo with headshots but it is a constant struggle not to run out.

Camp near ammo chests, then.
Or conserve your ammo, go for crits. You're in cover, so you have more time to aim.
Or just rely on the big ammo capacity that you really really should probably maybe upgrade at the Black Market.
I never said ammo drops are the
only option.

Alright, hold on, give me like 30 minutes.

You have three options.
Get more ammo,
miss less shots,
or do more damage per bullet.
Always open chests and pick up ammo out of those ammo boxes.

I have a pretty good number of ammo upgrades already. Doesn't allow me to not carry one weapon of every type so I can still shoot when the best one I've got runs out, and then when the next one, and the next one, then the first one again.
