how the hell you even get your hand on that kind of stuff anyway?
Deer farms are almost certainly a thing but that's probably a niche market you can't just stumble into as a shopper, the supply we've got is from a family friend, I presume he or a friend of his hunted and killed the deer, at which point you want to find a professional butcher to take it to ASAP before it starts to decay, and they can prepare the meat for you.

It's quite tasty.

Wouldn't the person that shot the deer be able to take care of the meat themselves?
Or are the hunters over there "Just shooters"..?

Over here the training for taking care of the meat from the different animals properly and making clean killing shots really is the biggest part of getting your huntsmans licence, and rifle licence at all, for that matter.

And "decay" is a bit of a funny concept with game meat, as you'll want to hang it for little more than a week in a room with a closely managed temperature to get the best tenderness. ow o

Interesting. Well we knew it was coming, I wonder if FO4 will build off the Skyrim Gamebryo engine or if it'll use something new. There hasn't been such a large window between a TES/FO game before, so it might be TES6 builds off FO4's engine rather than vice versa.

I also wonder if it'll be more akin to NV, or FO3. I have to say, I didn't like NV at all. It was a post apocalyptic survival game with no survival or apocalypse of note; FO3 captured that much better especially in the ruins of DC itself. In NV only Lonesome Road really clicked in that regard

Or the fins of rockets.

I don't hunt myself so I can only speculate but it probably varies. Some hunters probably prep the meat themselves and some take it to a professional.

I have family in Arkansas who hunt... I think they prepare the meat themselves.

I just watched the trailer.
It was all made with the stock engine.

I have no words.
