I only use the sword if something gets too close, however, despite the high defense and melee bonuses... Mostly because melee isn't effective against most bosses and I use arenas and lava traps a lot.
Magic is just highly efficient in-game, and extremely versatile. From the infinitely rebounding Shadowbeam Staff, to the AoE explosive Inferno Fork, to even the slightly boring but still highly useful Ice Rod.
It doesn't rely on ammo like Ranged does, you don't have to get that close like Melee somewhat has to, and magic regenerates pretty fast as well as the STILL overpowered Mana Flower.
Call mages wimps all you like: If I can clear a screen of enemies faster than you can, without dying, I'm far, far more effective than your swords and armors.
Besides, I prefer to use the Hooded Spectre Robes since I can negate most if not all of the damage reduction, so not only am I still hurting I'm also keeping you alive.
Don't forget Waterbolt. Waterbolt is love. Waterbolt is life.

Yeah, it's a pretty awesome pre-hardmode magic weapon.
I personally prefer the bee gun, though.

you can do that using world editors, i think the update he's referring to is when crimson didn't exist, crimson never made it impossible to progress.
Yes, it did at one point. I know this because I had crimson and couldn't progress.
If I remember this right, you had to craft an item that was made of demonite. The crimson variant didn't work.
Was easy to resolve though. We just made a second world that had the corruption :E
Besides, after another large update, I'm going to assume the fixed this anyway.

That reminds me, when a famous Terraria Youtuber declared Water Bolt to be his favourite weapon, Terraria Online was FLOODED with people praising Water Bolt to the heavens.
A similar event happened with the Infinity in Borderlands 2.

Nothing game-breaking was missing on the Crimson side.
Something WAS not there, I can't remember what, but you could progress just fine.
Thank you for the support people, I'm going to bed now.

I don't remember what exaclty it was but I was a major problem for me and my friends back then. But as I said, it's probably fixed now anyway.
And if people really want all the stuff, I can make an offline world to gather the missing materials for everyone.

Same here. All we really need from it is the crimson armor, crimson rods, ichor for Golden Shower and ichor ammo, and the vampire knives.
So for those out of the loop people in robocraft used to put like, a tier 7 or 8 gun on a little tier 3 buggy so they could terrorize the newbies, then the dev prevented them from doing this, so they stuck 10 tier 2-3 guns on armored behemoths 3-4x the size of anything the newbies are even allowed to build, so the dev prevented them from doing that. Now they do the same thing at tier 7, and the outcome is exactly the same, they stomp helpless people trying to simply progress.

I do know you need to artificially raise your tier to gain the right tokens, but why can't they make the minimal tier on a vehicle the highest block tier on it? So a tier 8 gun prevents you from having a level lower than 8, but you can still stuff things onto your vehicle until you're tier 9.

they kinda did that with armor, now you can't be tier 7 if you have tier 5 armor (which actually forced me to rebuild my entire tank because they also changed how tier is calculated and I suddenly got bumped into tier 7.) The problem is that as you level up you gain CPU for your bot, which is used up whenever you add a block or weapon or other gadget onto it, so level 100s can build giant 1000+ block bricks of solid armor, slap a few guns on, and go terrorize tier 7.
I'm not sure but I think I cant use
for delay in assembly language, any better alternatives? or a better way for the pins to send output in sequence?

DIBS ON VAMPIRE KNIVES!
Dunno why you're calling dibs.
Someone can just get a key from Plantera, farm for a mould, and just...
Go create a small world, murder Skeletron, and just open the chest there?
You don't HAVE to be the first one to snatch something if a server is made.
I personally would be far more interested in just building, preferrably with free reign.
After all, I'd do stuff like this:
if robocraft gets rotation plates I will be immeasurably pleased. I would love to be able to make some proper turrets.

I doubt that, since all the weapons in robocraft are already freemovingable turrets, but a triple gun turret or a double one could be a possibility

rotation plates and joints would allow for much better looking turrets than the flimsy ones we have now. it would also allow me to armor my turrets, giving me a good reason to centralize my guns.

It's just a convenience function. You gotta do it yourself in assembly which means busy-waiting (throw the processor into a fixed length loop). To work out the time you need to bust out the data sheet and find out the clock speed, work out the number of cycles your loop takes and do some magic (my minds a bit hazy on the specifics atm).
As for sending things serially? Does your device have something like UART? You should use that.

assuming they have fixed guns, or else block cant be placed in the area where the current guns can turn to,

Built my own island.
That's what the Ice Rod up there is for.
And it's more of a homething than a temple, but yes.

no...it's a PIC16F877a on a SK40C board with a 4MHz clock, I'm trying to have 5 LED light up(and down) in one direction and when a switch is pressed the LED lights up in the opposite direction,
so everything should be in the assembly code, which I have trouble with
