Is there a way to limit quote nesting? I know on other forums I've been on it's usually limited to three or four (like if you have any more layers than that they get removed automatically)

Yeah, an automated thing is much easier (or a setting that prevents the forum from rendering more than x layers).
If you have a lot of quotes, especially not nested 1 below another it can also start to get really difficult to read the formatting, where one quote ends and another begins etc. too (in terms of editing that is)

I agree, i might just be sleepy or something but reading a mess of symbols and quote stuff is pretty disorientating text-wise.
