jakkai don't need to be buff. they STRONK anyways. no really they're normally physically stronger than humans, at the cost of having next-to-no magical ability. not a TON stronger, maybe a +1 racial strength modifier since you can't do +.5 or whatever. they're also small, so a -1 (-2, maybe?) constitution would make sense. takes less hits to take out something less than half the height of a normal person. if -2 cont, then a +1 on dexterity would make sense as well. because prehensile tail.

So a human fighter can re-roll one damage dice each fight no matter who tossed it. And a dwarves cleric can put his Hand on stone and it'll tell him what it has witnessed or something.
A kaki warrior would probably have something along the lines of "you can dodge on attack directed at you without rolling for it" or "when dodging a meter attack from something bigger than you, take +1 to your roll" and then we'd have to come up with a special race skill for the jakkai for each class.

Ah. It was the beginning of last semester I played DUDGEON WORL so I'm a bid rusty on the rules regarding racial abilities and stuff.
Mostly because literally everyone except the Mage and Bard were human. those two were elves.

Maybe the thief could have one use of a free ranged weapon per fight. Like throwing a dagger, rock or some sort of flash bang with its tail.

Well, it could apply to other classes as well- as long as it isn't anything bigger/heavier than a shortsword or something.

Yeah, that'd make sense. Spare throwing weapon for thief (Jakkai thief would be good...maybe a +1 to Stealth rolls, too, because tiny? idk.)
If anyone is dumb enough to do a Jakkai Mage, they get -2 on all spell rolls = w=

That'd not work too well as not being able to throw spells as a jakkai would be pretty crippling for a jakkai Mage. Which should be a valid option. Wait, when you normally get a partial success on a spell, the GM selects from a little list what side effect/what goes wrong. Maybe with jakkai this list is different? What the exact differences would be could be up for discussion.
Or we could just give an jakkai Mage the ability to negate a spell directed at it or something, Katja-style.

jakkai are legit known for being absolutely shit mages. second worst, if not the worst, magic-using race in medius. only capable of learning one strong spell.

That actually could be a thing. Jakkai mages are unable to use multiple spells without a lot of prep, but they can use said spell a limitless # of times/more than only once.
