The song isn't even about the anime though, the lyrics are parodying how bad the lyrics of the song are and how poorly they translate.

Multilingual songs that make no sense are bad for translators.

I know, my point was more that it didn't really have anything to do with the anime, other than the song being used in the anime.

welp.

I left to go get my driver's license, and then I came home with no license, 4 pizzas, 10 liters of soda, a box of taquitos, and a gallon of Sunny D

I guess this is an acceptable outcome.

1 pizza for me, 1 for mom, 2 for the freezer for later, and the soda was on sale for $1 each if I bought 5

It's this thing me and my father can do. It doesn't have a name, so I'll just toss in "Phantom Energy" for giggles and technobabble cred.

There's two ways. The first is based on imagining objects, always on myself. I can feel them  (slightly, like water) and they have little, but noticeable resistance when pressed on. They can't interact with anything but me.

The second is rubbing my hands together and holding them apart, then waiting a while. It creates this sphere that has far more resistance when pushed on, but collapses quickly if I don't hold the gesture. My father managed a trick on his tired classmates with it once or twice. I don't know if they effect other things.

Neither can be seen, block light, distort light, or otherwise be visible. Both seem to follow thermodynamics since they make me noticeably tired, the latter function far faster than the former. The way they work is extremely consistent, and don't seem to have any useful applications. I can do things like envision fur on my arms, but most of the time I accidentally make an object inside my mouth and have to deal with a cylinder propping up my jaw for six minutes.

Not to sound offensive or anything but this really does sound like complete and utter bull, but that's Vulcan-minded me speaking.

okay that's one bit of hocus pocus I'm not willing to leave standing.

I think everyone wants to think that they have something really unique and special about them but you have to remember not to underestimate how much control your brain has over your body, it's entirely possible for your brain to make you think that something is wearing you out or that something really is in your way simply if you want it to bad enough. Does this mean any of us can actually influence reality with sheer willpower? no. It does mean that we can fool ourselves into thinking so with it though. The ends you can push your brain to with simply willpower is astounding, if you want something to be bad enough naturally your brain is going to try and make it so, and that leads to a lot of the nonsense we hear about like what you're describing here.

This, it's very easy to condition yourself into believing things like that - it's the basis for phenomena like tulpae.

Also, see things like hypochondriasis and somatic symptom disorders.

yup, I don't like to go around advertising my mental anomalies and such because I realize that they're bunk, but I see some value in internally humoring them.

Huh, I wish I could actually influence fucking reality. As far as it goes it's a toy for when I'm bored. With the first one, you have the exact same doubt I have, the whole "haven't people influenced their perceptions of reality before?". The second one is unexplained. Really, I just lumped the two together because they have similar attributes.

I'm not claiming to be a fucking wizard and a god of tumblr who can fly and shoot lasers out of my eyes. I'm just pointing out this fucking weird thing.

I said it was something related to spirituality, you should have expected something scientifically sketchy.
Oh hey, I can do the same thing with my hands and the sphere thing, except I don't rub my hands together to get that feeling.
