Seriously though he probably would if there wasn't a safe bed available, because the interior is well padded and lined for comfort, it's even climate controlled.

Do remember that he's a black market arms dealer and weaponsmith with a reputation for both quality and ruthlessness, he is very aware that he has a lot of enemies on top of an inherently dangerous profession. He surrounds himself in so much security because he knows that if gives people the opportunity he'll be the next one staring down a loaded gun. So yeah he finds it easiest to just more or less live in his armor as it protects him from the hazards of his work as well as leaves him prepared for anything, hence he only really takes it off for hygiene and maintenance purposes.
