I run Starsector+ and all of it's integrated factions on top of the command console mod.
Starsector+ by itself, on top of other features, adds a few ships and weapons and sticks so close to vanilla that I sometimes forget what all it adds, I highly recommend it if you dig the way the game runs now.
The various faction mods that can be added onto SS+ have varied art styles that don't match up well with the base game, but are worth looking into for how much they add to the game.
The Knights Templar are one of those faction mods but they warrant separate mention because of you think starsector is hard now you have not seen these guys yet. They're built from the ground up to be OP as shit so you have more of a challenge end-game or something to try and steal mid-game. They're baddies through and through so you'll have to wrestle those ships and guns away from them the hard way. I still recommend them though.
Command console lets you cheat.

Nah, there hasn't been any paragon or renegade options and you know they'd both be spamming the renegade option.
(Though, you might as well pick the blue option every time, nothing good ever comes of taking the renegade choice. CHOICES HO!)
