MFW after accidentally knocking out my own soldier with a stun grenade I found out we managed to also catch an alien officer in it.

Oh my god reapers in xenonauts are scary. As soon as I knew we'd be facing any I instantly went full panic mode and hunkered the entire squad in a corner of the map. Even then we still almost got butchered by one of the damn things.
so what you think will win a fight, a xenonaut reaper or an xcom chryssalid?

One deals heavy damage, one instakills. Easy call.

and you xcom opratives think dealing chrissalids is a deathwish, xenonauts operatives have to deal with reapers

Warriors, tho? They are always I N T H E Z O N E.

battle mages get partial credit though, they still just fireball or lightning bolt stuff that tries to get close but they're brave enough to go in with a sword and actually use it from time to time.

See, that's what I do. I take my best armor defensively, my best melee weapon, and two ranged and two magic weapons. Sometimes there's molotovs in the mix, too.
I only use the sword if something gets too close, however, despite the high defense and melee bonuses... Mostly because melee isn't effective against most bosses and I use arenas and lava traps a lot.

so should we hope the server has Crimson or Corruption?

Depends. Last time I played, you actually needed corruption to advance in tiers ._.
Today's worldbuilding thoughts:
Basic development of Marrian military.

"An SCP article about a Lancer droid displaced from it's universe could be fun to write"

Basic procedures for imprisonment of Lancer Spec Ops droid with modern equipment.

i wonder if we could do something so our world had both biomes generate in it. So we had the crimson boss and the corruption boss and equipment avaible.

you can do that using world editors, i think the update he's referring to is when crimson didn't exist, crimson never made it impossible to progress.

There's actually something for that, it's some sort of custom world generator

Meep.

That is all.

Magic is just highly efficient in-game, and extremely versatile. From the infinitely rebounding Shadowbeam Staff, to the AoE explosive Inferno Fork, to even the slightly boring but still highly useful Ice Rod.

It doesn't rely on ammo like Ranged does, you don't have to get that close like Melee somewhat has to, and magic regenerates pretty fast as well as the STILL overpowered Mana Flower.

Call mages wimps all you like: If I can clear a screen of enemies faster than you can, without dying, I'm far, far more effective than your swords and armors.

Besides, I prefer to use the Hooded Spectre Robes since I can negate most if not all of the damage reduction, so not only am I still hurting I'm also keeping you alive.

Still it could take a week or two for it to be 1.3 compatible, we dont want to grate a world with both crimson and corruption but without the 1.3 stuff
