But corrosion is the weakest element against Vault Hunters because it's not good against shields or flesh plus the SMG was of white rarity because all enemies in that area have white guns also you're outlevelling them by 4 levels and you have a sniper rifle that is better at long ranges than your shotgun even though your shotgun has a Hyperion barrel so 10 feet is more than enough are you actually using your turret what are you doing get gud.

Still, that thing should be able to
at least 2-shot a marauder if you get crits with it. So I don't think you are trying to get crits with it, which means you are not even trying.

I'm sorry, but if they really are mopping the floor with your face, with this much gear, and at the very beginning of TVHM, I am not seeing a problem with the game itself.

I'm sorry, but if they really are mopping the floor with your face, with this much gear, and at the very beginning of TVHM, I am not seeing a problem with the game itself.
mercifully outside of that one fight I've been able to at least handle most of the enemies, the bullyrots are a problem but the aforementioned shotgun works pretty well when the target is too big to miss, as for the bandits I just engage them from extreme range with my sniper, where they can't even really shoot back all that well.

because every area will allow me to fire ridiculously high damage bullets into the heads of any enemy type at such extreme ranges they don't even aggro properly.

And it's not that hard to hit the target if you're at close range. Slag+any other element is your best friend, too.

Utilise cover, prioritise problem enemies, use that class ability. Augment your skills to benefit your playstyle and compliment your gear.
Starting TVHM is one of the harder points in the game but borderlands really isn't difficult as far as shooters go. I can't help but feel your approach is wrong.
