i went to a store that sold all sort of different stuff ranging from anime figurines, pokemon plushies, wall posters, cosplay pieces, buttons, records, old books, manga, keychains, simpsons merchandise, dolls, pride flag stuff today and someone was trying to buy something with the confederate flag on it there =.= like what kind of store sells stuff with both the pride flag on it, and stuff with the confederate flag. Though it did have alot of more historical merchandise as well so i guess i can see it being like a historical thingy, but still =.=
Well it's only a hate symbol if you make it one.
Also I'd like to point out that the dude didn't say he would set himself on fire.
He just quoted the Bible, which includes a quote about "something something I'd rather be set ablaze than see this sin bla bla bla".

Still, doesn't really change the fact that opposing same-sex marriage makes him a douche, though.

I really can't decide if you should be hung or crowned for those puns, so I'm going to upvote instead.
alright... now that people are on.
hell, i dunno if this is a god time but.
if y'all want this DnD open-world thing to happen, y'all gotta say what you want to see!
saying "yeah, sounds cool, i'd like to join!" tells me there's at least some here that'd find it interesting, but unless we settles on how things will be done and on what sort of scale we start out with and who, if any, want to help me, things wont happen.
and after the effort I've so far put into the posts and thinking up the setting and how things could potentially run AND after people said they'd like to see it, it'd suck that it wouldn't become a thing just because people don't chat about it... for some reason.
so, what do you people want to see in it?
how do you think the game should be run?
have you read up on how Dungeon World works?
if you have any other questions, FOR THE LOVE OF GAY MARRIAGE AND AMERICAN POLITICS ASK THEM! i don't care if they are stupid or lazy questions like "i didn' bother readin' on how DW works, tell me!" or "what setting will we use?" ask the questions!

i have a few. Are we going to use the generic classes mentioned on the char creation thing? and what races? Also why do stats stop growing at 18?

as for classes, yeah, though you can build your chars very differently, one of my mates made a bard that can't fight for shit, but can heal really fucking good. (two 8 sided dice per heal, he can nearly fully heal most classes save for the big tanky ones), though there are expansion classes which is a thing i'm working on. it's sort of an alteration to the class that adds thing to it. for example the ranger has a rifleman expansion class that allows said ranger to use rifles and such. due to these expansion classes being home made by me, they'll probably be unbalanced or odd/off in some way.
in terms of Races i'd say there'll be the classic human/elf/dwarf set up, from there it's what people would like to see. so if someone wants a feline race akin to furrys basically, then sure. oh and some classes limits themselves as to what race they can be, like the Ranger can only be a human or an Elf, that's stupid and retarded, you can be any race for any class, we'll just have to write the race bonus for each individual class.
in terms of stats, yeah, they cap at 18, that gives a +3 to a roll, which when rolling two six sided dice is pretty huge. this doesn't include magical buffs and trinkets or aid from allies. if you have 18 in dex, have a friend successfully help you and have some magical trinket, you could basically avoid misses entirely. though that is an extreme.

well, there would be guns, not just muskets/blunderbusses (those are a little boring) but like, simple rifles. imagine some of the first non-flintlock firearms. though they'd be SUPER rare, SUPER expensive and require special training to use and maintain.
but if it's a sci-fi setting you're after, then this isn't what you'd be after.
If you don't want flintlocks, how about matchlocks?

the guns in the setting will be a bit... odd. in a sense. i'll explain it in depth later, it's getting quite late for me here, but essentially it takes a lot of work and resources to make a gun in the setting so only a few expert craftsmen make them, and them make most of them by hand/simple machines, not any sort of automation or anything. no guns are made on a commercial or industrial level, all arms are pretty much private and thus super rare and expensive. and often also rather odd or gimmick-y in some way.
there'll probably still be a few classic weapons like revolvers and double barrel rifles. but there might also be guns like a revolver with a shotgun barrel, or a rifle made partly out of a sword or spear or some crap, we'll see what ideas i come up with, but no matter what expect guns to be super duper rare with most people never even heard of them, even in the military. they'd probably be regarded as something from a fairytale or something with "a stick made of wood and metal, making noises like thunder, emitting smoke and fire" guns are not 100% settled yet, but they'll be a part of the setting.
this DUDGON WORL playthrough should totally have jakkai
totally
no ehks bad.
