the forums is a bit strange to me, so it may take some time for me to get used to it. I just have a bad habbit of leaving things for awhile and coming back or not coming back ^^''

Huh, uranium eating bacteria, now put that on steriods then the world's super power's nuclear weapons can be easilly disabled, or use it to clean up radioactive sites like chenobly or fukushima.

Nuclear weapons use uranium derivatives but never regular uranium, and spent fissionables tend to not have all that much in common with their original form anymore.
Edit: the article says they are common at uranium processing sites, which shows they probably don't get along with raw ore, it also implies an incompatibility with waste.

the ultimate idea is to figure out a way to use it or moddify it to be able to clean radioactive areas.

I don't see it becoming a good cleaning measure without genetic engineering.

alas probably not but it shows biological life forms can deal with uranium. Which gives us a possible way to deal with it. And lets face it Uranium breathing/eating creatures are still pretty cool
