Well I wasn't getting anywhere before, so I don't see an issue.
If you really feel that way I don't think anything I'm going to say is going to convince you otherwise. Hell, real world example - coming out of highschool I failed physics. I mean, I straight up failed, not didn't do well by my standards, I literally failed. You think at that point I would have thought I could actually do well at physics? That I could actually do any better than that? No. Well, I then went on to earn a distinction (nearly a high distinction) in the introductory physics course in my degree which covered harder content in a much shorter timespan.
Sure, it's not going to win any awards, I'm not going to become some pHD theoretical physicist any time soon but I went from failing to a pretty respectable result, one that a lot of people would be quite happy with.
That's not the result of some mystical latent ability or talent - it's because I applied myself and became better through effort. It's something that anyone can do, you just have to actually go out and do it.

It's fun to wallow in self-pity, but pretty soon you'll be too deep into it and you'll gte pissed off with yourself/
No I think I'll get along fine.
Surge fueled by a mix of other people's anger and his own self pity confirmed.

Well everyone has to start and end somewhere, we can't all go out and be the next albert einstein through sheer willpower, we all peak somewhere, I've just peaked lower than where some people have started. There's no point in stressing over it anymore.

you should really read Prequel: how to make a cat cry, the adventure.

I'm sure life has a lot in store for me but great things aren't included. If they are well then that opportunity hasn't quite presented itself yet.

your choice. but don't expect things to just fall in our lap, you're not stupid, so you'll be fine, you can live a decent life as you are now i'm sure.

Everything is a risk/reward, gotta weigh your options.
In other news I had some crazy-ass dream last night
It started off with me going to some vacation resort on another planet, which was just like some huge hotel/bar/pool thing on another planet.
For some reason the planet's air turned toxic to humans at night so when it went dark you had to stay indoors.
The area was kinda eh.
The skies were always blue and you could see spaceships and stuff flying over, but the thing was built near a huge downward slope, which lead down to a huge area of flat rock.
Also there were 'vali, despite them being human height, but this is a dream and I'll let this shit slide.
I could see groups of them hanging out but the language was weird, in what I can only describe as a mixture of an Asian language and pigeons cooing.
Plus for some reason there was a machine that would turn you into a 'vali and back to a human for some reason, so I tried it and the machine broke so I was stuck as a bird for the rest of the dream.
At some point I was sat at a bar and a pink and white 'vali guy kept hitting on me.
Also, the lobby for the hotel was a huge, and for some reason people set up weird spherical tents inside it, and there was a huge glass roof where you could see the night sky.
The last two things that I can remember involved a spaceship crashing on the hill by the building, after it let off fireworks for some reason, and me getting angry at an arcade because all the games were terrible.
If there's any guarantee in life it's that we don't know shit as people.
You're not that good at art and want to be better? Well, I won't sugarcoat anything.
You won't ever be good until you put in the effort. That's all there is to it. Yes, some have natural talent and as you've said, you don't. That means you have to work harder for your skills.
And if you don't believe you have any, you're more blind than I am.
Because tell me: Are you psychic? Can you see your future and every ounce of what you're capable of? No, not likely.
I hate to say it, Surge, but you're being remarkably apathetic. Maybe you're right and you aren't capable of much. Who knows?
The discussion is honestly and entirely pointless. You're set in your attitude and viewpoint, so trying to convince you otherwise is a waste of time.

I wouldn't say they were 6ft.
More like 5ft.
But because I'm small everything looks big to me.

You should probably try a few pills less tonight. Just sayin...
Literally all I had was a knock-off Oreo before I went to bed.
Knock-off Oreos are a hell of a drug.

still pretty damn tall for an avali which I think Maximum/average at 3ft.
Speaking of risk/reward I just bought a ship at 3x the shipyard cost.
