Well, okay then. Not really what I was looking for, but thanks anyways.
Killmoves in skyrim are annoying.
So hype right now. Starbound is almost finished, holy shit guys.

no it's not, there's still three big updates left to do. They just (finally) have said how many they have planned. And I'm glad for what they have planned, because it makes the game sound like it'll be fun again.
maybe hunger won't be tedious and nothing more than an irritant when they add it back in. i never understood why people went "PUT HUNGER BACK IN AS IT WAS" because it was just tedious and added nothing to the game.

It wouldmake sense to have some race not effected by hunger or atleast some negative/lowered energy generation with pow hunger rather than health effecting ones.

it is going to be optional. if it's a good system, i'll like it. if it's the same as the old one, i'm not touching it.

probably never going to touch it if i can, i've never liked hunger mechanics, the only game that i own that has them is minecraft, and i don't like minecraft.

Oh my god, this sounds awesome!

minecraft's system isn't the best, but it's tolerable. you're rewarded for keeping your hunger above a certain level, and once you get down too low you lose an ability, and then you start losing health
starbound? it was just "don't hit zero. you hit zero, you die pretty much instantly" which is a fucking terrible system. doesn't help food became a COMPLETE nonissue in starbound after a very short while (unlike with minecraft, where it takes at least a little bit of time to make a good farm) so it made the system even more pointless and irritating. it became a "press button after x amount of time" thing, and that's it. it punished you if you went AFK. you don't lose hunger if you don't move in minecraft.

Purposed starbound hunger system:
Full/near full: +max health, health regen, faster energy cooldown and regen
Medium/normal: normal energy cooldown and regen, no health regen
Low: slow energy cooldown and regen
Zero: -max health, same energy cooldown and regen as low.

Mechanian/non food eating race cant benefit and suffer from these since they dont have a hunger meter/bar, health and energy normal

i think the glitch will have this, but it'll be more of a fuel/battery system than a hunger system, they have to get power somehow.

The Glitch eat food, just not in the traditional sense. Their systems convert food into energy, just like the digestive process in humans.
The hunger system in starbound really was kind of pointless. The temperature system, however, I'm looking forward to seeing that again.

temperature needed to be reworked. needs a "too hot" too, and also needs more than just "INSTADIE IF TOO COLD."

...also you shouldn't freeze to death on a temperate planet.
