The only company I know of who still does the better products thing is Valve. Besides, who uses AMD anyway...
None of that justifies it though. It's sleazy as hell and because of it I will not consider buying another NVIDIA card. I would say that I use AMD but I don't currently have a Radeon even if my next card will definitely be one.
Sure, what you will buy is your thing. However, when deviantart started their shady business tactics, you were defending them. So you really have no right to complain about this now.

Did I? I don't recall that.
All I recall is that they rebranded premium as core and jacked up the price, which isn't shady so much as it is a dick move. I suppose you could say it was shady because they offered a shiny new service that some people would inevitably buy and then jacked up to price to capitalize on the "NEW THING!" crowd but I'm not sure that crowd would be of any noteworthy size.

Which is basically the same thing...
I was just reversing the situation here to see if you would notice what I was doing here. You didn't.
I don't agree with what Nvidia is doing either, by the way.

I'm not sure that there can be any parallels here. DA can't really sabotage their competition unless they put it in their TOS that by posting to DA you forfeit distribution rights, which would be suicide for them to do.
Perhaps if NVIDIA did a price hike after sabotaging AMD? I don't know.

My point is that you could call both of these things "shady business tactic" or "dick move". They did different things, but neither was right.

I think I see the parallel you're trying to draw here but I still think that there are a lot of key factors working against your point here.

That's horrible. Why would anyone who would do that be allowed to have Admin abilities?
They probably have lotsa money. It did piss me off though as we literally had nothing, he teleported into the base, killed me and Rogue and detonated red matter and started spamming chat, this server is the number one Voltz server in the listings. Apparently has no lag, I beg to differ. Good Staff, go fuck yourself for saying that. Factions, that barely work.
Anyways I found a decent modpack that would be almost brilliant... But it uses Minecraft as a base which inevitably means lag, glitchiness.
Gotta love servers that let any 12-year-old buy godhood.

One parallel would be that both did something disagreeable that one of us complained about.
Another is that both did something bad and are pretending they aren't, which makes it even worse.
Actually, no. Nvidia isn't even pretending, so Nvidia isn't even as bad as deviantart.

Well NVIDIA is offering a product that is important in the context of gaming, DA is offering a much cheaper and fully optional service.

As I've said before, what they are doing doesn't matter. Only thing that matters is that both did something wrong.

Well in Beyond Earth you have to be kinda far in the game before your colony can spare the infrastructure to start militarizing orbit. I'm not there yet, hell we don't even have lasers.

Im pretty sure you dont need above laser for a orbital weapon, god's rods should be suffice. Or just allahuakbar spam your troops and hope for the best take that beast down.
