Yeah, i've been kinda nervous to post anything on the forms since I don't know anyone hear, as well as i don't want to read all the threads to understand what's going on.

RIP XCOM2, I paid a lot of money for something that broke the same day I got it...

Aw, what? That's lame.
I cannot be rid of this NVIDIA card fast enough.

If it was busier today I would probably expect many jokes. Luckily, it seems to be pretty lazy today.)

Funny how NVIDIA pays off devs to optimize for their hardware and software, yet their stuff still breaks so often.
I intend to never get an NVIDIA card (unless it's a very powerful one for dirt cheap, of course. After all, dem things are expensive.)

...That made me think... You can have multiple cards in one computer and even have them work together... Has anyone ever successfully integrated both an AMD and NVIDIA card together in one system, and did it generate a self-sustaining paradox?

NVIDIA and AMD cards have proprietary compatibility with one another and that's the only reason they work together, that said you could maybe have a dual monitor setup with one running on a GTX and the other on a Radeon, but I would expect shit to break constantly with that.

That's what I get for staying up until 8 AM.

Do realize that's still only 7 hours.

I don't either.  ^-^

Hello.

To be honest, I've read enough on NVIDIA to consider them an evil company due to what they do and their market to market strategies including hard locking other cards from running some games by paying people to only develope for their cards.  (In contracts).  Whereas AMD has just stayed on the steady train of trying their damndest, nvidia is constantly using backmarket strats to reduce the opposition.  It's outright evil.

That's not to say that Nvidia don't have their own benefits to using their cards, like advanced particle effects including things like cloth as one example.
confirmed, XCOM2 is kill, my copy no longer works.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, verifying cache integrity, all that?

It was just released, right? You probably encountered the Common Launch Bug, a creature which affixes itself around a freshly-released game and will suddenly snap and crush it without warning.

No but really though if it stopped working altogether I'd say send a detailed report to the devs about the issue through whatever medium you think is best. (I suggest Astral Projection or Planespeaking.)

Reinstalling is a day long process because it's a nearly 30 gig game. Verifying always finds and fixes something, which immediately breaks again when I try to start it.
I'm considering reinstalling starbound and doing the subreddit's build of the week so I can pretend I'm making things.
Why not practice .xml and learn file editing for personalized difficulty in compatible games?

because XCOM2 doesn't work.

Most games that have character creation tend to have ugly characters anyway. Especially Oblivion.

Yeah... Oblivion's potato-faces are terribad. Luckily, mods.

You think that's bad? Try sleeping from 2am yet still wake up at 2pm.(this is exactly what happen for me today/lately)

And this is how you make a singularity.
Or maybe a universe.
Or maybe how you destroy a universe.
Either way this is the trippiest thing I've seen in a long time.
