Yes it is. Though I find the early game to be too heavily populated with large enemies and the late game they're too scarce.
I also find that it can get repetitive early on, other than that, it's a great game.
Turns out when you live near an AFB you'll write off any large sound as a sonic boom. Mind you it was one but if nuclear war happened I'd probably grumble about fighter jocks and carry on my business up until I was killed by the shockwave.
Oh, hello there 7 AM. I suppose I should, I dunno, attempt to sleep for a few hours. Because I'm finally feeling tired. Y'know, because humans have the unfortunate requirement to spend many many hours literally laying in one spot doing nothing. Bleh.
Maybe I should just stay up... Nah, then I'll be wa(aaaaaaaaaaa)y too tired to function at all.

i can confirm this
whenever the odd sonic boom passes over this college, i pay no attention while everyone else kinda freaks out for a few seconds. yay for hearing sonic booms every few hours back home.

I was sleeping just fine...could have stayed that way until lunch, but nooooo somebody had to be inconsiderate and break the sound barrier.
today on "the Air Force is super inconsiderate." I was just about to say fuck it and take a nap when a Super Cobra decided to fly right over the house at godamn treetop level.

Kinda proud that we're under developed here but then again we did lost 3 jets in one year.
I shouldnt aircrafts only be allowed to fly over less dense populated areas?

It's called over-reaction of the wielder as well as forwards jettison of energy with the lasers. Take someone whose spent their life using conventional firearms and give them a laser. They'll repeatedly flinch with every trigger pull no matter how hard they try. Why? Natural recoil compensation reaction. It just won't feel right. Why then does everyone in the game have this reaction even those that were born using energy weapons? Laziness or what I said first. Heat discharge.

While I think some willing suspension of disbelief is required here and that it was done for exactly that - game balance - I would love to see a mod that makes laser weapons have no recoil but instead overheat with continued use and cause them to get less accurate as a result. Just like recoil, but instead of a sudden jarring, it doesn't affect the cursor position but builds up general inaccuracy the more you fire in rapid succession. That would be cool.

Yes yes you don't like me, I don't need a late reminder.

Well, maybe it wouldn't have to be that way if you didn't start insulting myself and others out of the blue with absolutely zero provocation.
I don't hate you, just the way you act. Honestly what do you expect will come of passive-aggressive jabs like that? Do you want everyone to hate you so you actually have a reason to sit there and go "waaah everyone hates me"?
