.....yeah that stabilizer is completely fucked and I'm too far in to do anything about it.
What are you even trying to do?
Create a cutout of my wallpaper that will go over the full one, allowing rainmeter to sandwich the base of a visualizer in between them.
like so:
Anyways I apparently resized the canvas to 1920x1080 at some point so the whole thing is knackered and I'll have to start over.

Isn't that exactly what I said you should do?
Or did you scale the image rather than just resizing the canvas?

Either way would have ruined it. I don't know the exact dimensions of what Windows cropped out for the wallpaper because it didn't crop out a 1920x1080 block, it cropped out as much as was necessary to fill the screen without stretching the image. The cutout I have is stretched.

If you're making a wallpaper for your desktop you should probably make it according to your display resolution.

The original image is 3440x1440 and Windows resized it to fill without stretching. If I introduce that same image at 1920x1080 it will be resized differently, I need both images to match up exactly.
Crop #2.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
this better work.
Meanwhile Saberuneko made an awesome album cover and is working on the music to match.
MRW my meticulously and labor intensively crafted cutout decides that the .png extension means nothing and saves as a non-transparent 3440x1440 image.

I'm trying to picture that in my head, but I just...
can't.
paint.net doesn't understand the fucking concept of a .png file.
I fucking quit.

*Begins to pet paint.net* shhh i'll still use you, when i decide to try again at making the 30 by 30 pixel image anyways.
Now I just gotta clean up those white lines...
I'm dropping the wallpaper on /r/picrequests and getting some godamn dinner...
reddit delivers the goods.

Yes it does, you're just screwing it up by probably disabling alpha channel when saving.

*uses paint.net all the time and is quite satisfied*
I am at once disappointed the kind redditor who made that cutout forgot one of the guns and thankful that this detail prevented the visualizer snowball that was in progress.
Looks like somebody is sick of me playing with the character creation tool.
