Well, it makes the Kobyashi Maru exam look easy by comparison.
Because no matter who you reprimand, they will turn around and attack you, along with people who agree with their perspective over the other guy and yours.
Then a few posts later someone else attacks the person you reprimanded and they're all boohoo save me moderators.
That one line in Men in Black sums up people so elegantly and effectively.
And I've found by experience in administrative roles that the best moderators tend to be the ones who would prefer not to be doing it. They do so out of a sense of responsibility instead of power-tripping and wanting to be an elite.
When I ran a minecraft server, anyone who asked me to give them powers were automatically added to a list that would never ever be allowed a position. The best of the best were chosen, not any kid with an ambition being given status.
seriously, can we just abolish aprilfools day? it's childish and uncool just because different culture doenst use the Georgian calendar you're just gonna make fun of them for eternity and put that on official calendar.
Sudden out of the blue thing: So, doing research for the appearance of horrible mind-twisting Eldritch Things*, I came across images depicting, and written descriptions of the original interpretations of angels. Four faces, tons of wings, rings of fire with eyes, holy light that incinerates everything, eyes EVERYWHERE... I mean, wow. How did people ever go from Lovecraftian Horrors That Predate Lovecraft to Pretty People With Wings and Rings?
That said, they look freaking cool.
*Related to writing I'm doing, not some kind of cultist ritual. Those are for weekends.

Pretty sure there's an SCP like that. Hell I think it's one of the multiple SCP-001s

The idea of the "beautiful winged humans" actually comes from, IIRC, India, which Christianity incorporated as yet another "look we have it in our religion too" thing.
And there's multiple types of angels, like the ones that are flaming wheels with an eye.
If I recall there are at least 12 distinct orders of angels that are known to scripture. And most of them don't look like their contemporary descriptions either.
By the way, the commonly seen depictions of winged children- they aren't cherubim, those are called putti.
Seraphim are pretty awesome though, I use adaptations of them in a lot of my RPs. Since they are technically beings of energy itself, they usually confine themselves to physical bodies just for convenience and practicality in a story context.

Yes, according to my very flimsy and short research (AKA I just found stuff that says this and haven't checked the accuracy) in the lore they have to hide their bodies with one of their 3 pairs of wings lest they accidentally auto-incinerate any mortal or even lesser angel that looks at them.
I used to avoid any reference to modern or offshoots of modern religions in writing and RP, but the more I look into some of the more obscure and old bits the more interesting it is.
Speaking of which, I've been attempting art again:
An Archeon, which is sort of the ruling class (and actually entirely different species) than my RP-lore's brand of angel (AKA Cheon).
This was done a while back and more (loosely) inspired by the interpretations of [totally not] Angels in the podcast Welcome to Night Vale:
Another Archeon. This one I literally just finished. They come in many forms, all of which are horribly terrifying.
This one has more obviously traditional inspiration, what with the many heads and wings and all that jazz.
I forgot arms and decided not to bother. Was originally gonna have many arms too, but it already has many everything else.
I admit all 4 sets of wings were traced from random clip art from the net. I tried so many times to draw wings from scratch. Not happening.
I continue to not bother with any proper shading because that's way above my skill level.
For another disturbing religious note, the reason why God uses angels to get messages to mortals, is because their voice is beyond our comprehension. Apparently you die.
You know, it's like Lovecraft got his whole idea from older versions of the scriptures.

MRW the "unofficial r/furry discord" server requires you to notify the admins of any absence of a week or longer and to filter ALL content into the appropriate room.
meanwhile the "unofficial" r/furry steam group already has a discord that operates on much simpler and less restrictive rules just fine.

In their defence, weather changes a lot.
I get that it's just the specific wording that was used of "seek cover immediately!" that led to me going to sleep in a storage closet not fit to fucking WALK through, only to come back out and find nothing happened, that bugs me.
See, if they don't, and there is a tornado, people bitch about them not doing their jobs properly. Obviously everyone still bitches if there's a warning and no tornado, but they can say that there was a genuine threat, and it's still better than lots of people dying.
As Reks said, the weather is a fickle thing.
Evil April Fools Idea:
Somewhere, when you go to input your password, no matter if you get it right or wrong, the first 3 times will show as incorrect.
People would either think they're somehow doing it wrong, that they're using the wrong password, or that their account was hacked.
Rebooting...

Holy crap that loading icon is an animated PNG?
I MUST DISCOVER ITS SECRETS!
Edit: So Mozilla Firefox has APNG support. And APNGs are a thing. Literally animated PNGs.
Holy crap this is amazing.
Does yours support APNGs?
If it says it does, yours does, since this is an APNG with two frames, according to Mozilla.
No this is not an april fools joke.
We have... Animated... Freaking... PNGs... With partial transparency!
*Deep breathing*

what is the wizardry!?
APNG format!
Unfortunately, Chrome and IE don't natively support them, so Firefox is the only one of the "Big Three" that does out of the metaphorical box... Despite requests to make them compatible since 2008.
And augh darnit GIMP doesn't have native support for them I would need to install a hacky plugin and would need EVEN MORE hacky edits to even get it to be able to open them properly...
Argh! Come on, internet, we have a clearly better alternative for the horribly outdated GIF format! Make APNGs happen!!
