SupCom 2 is downgraded to the tactical level. It plays out more like -craft style RTSes, at least in the campaign. It's a good game, it's just not SupCom. There would have been less backlash if it had a different IP attached to it.
That and y'know...it's not PA, so it has that going for it

Also, you should see the Mavor in SupCom/FA. Long build time but there's a reason it's classed as a "Game Ender" weapon.

That's not what I meant by "broken". The Mavor was balanced because it was super end-game and took so much time to build.
In the second game, though, artillery was extremely spammable. 4 or so long range artillery would ruin bases, and you could build them in just over a minute.

Hence, DAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKADAKKA. Against the AI, it's kind of the one reason I don't get swamped with hordes of dudes early on. The Quantum Artillery Gun the UEF had though is kinda derpy compared with it's predecessor though.
Also, I tended to use Experimentals more with the other two, especially Aeon. Even if they do have some of the silliest names.

Well in RTS games you ended up being able to anything in seconds. I think the Aeon Nukes were a bit harsh...

two ASM just to shoot it down, and produces them at such a ridiculous and cheap rate that you would ruin your economy trying to keep up.
