man that match tho, the enemy team was like, the holy grail of shitty bot designs, the only competent bot they had was a medic copter. They had an SMG tank that was literally just electroplates with a few SMGs poking out, I killed it in maybe 3 shots everytime, then they had a bunch of really compact little SMG buggies, lots of guns with probably less than 100 blocks, one was even covered in T2 electros. Their second medic was arguably one of the worst though, it was a wireframe walker/flier and honestly I saw it flying around for the hell of it more often than I saw it doing it's job.

Also I love it when people shoot the glass canopy on my tank and just find more armor underneath.

in the desert, in those big antlion places, mine the super tough stuff and put it in an extractor. you'll need quite a bit, but it does give a few cool things.

almost have a complete breakdown by doing hours of my assignment on the wrong side(mirrored) took me another hours to fix that.

What tier are you playing?

Soon as I finish getting my T7 stuff unlocked I'll probably push into T9, though my best craft is T8.

With 3 million RP saved up, I'm really starting to think I am being too stingy and should build more than just 2 craft. Right now I have my T7 plasma chopper 'Goldwing' and my T8 plasma chopper 'Big Red'

CPU-efficient, strikingly durable, and a lot of fun to fly, the Big Red plasma chopper is quite capable of medium or high altitude ground attack using T8 plasma cannons.

How are you not shot down by a few accurate bursts? It looked very flimsy/thin

I thought that too when I built its predecessor Goldwing at T7.

Understanding how the game distributes damage makes a significant difference. I used triforce armor principles in the main body and tail hull to improve its ability to absorb damage. Also the rods apparently have as much HP as their equivalent length in armor cubes, but are a smaller target that is harder to deal damage to and destroy.

The biggest weakness is the rotors. They get shot off more or less constantly, although I can still fly even with 2 of the 3 missing.

Even then, more often than not when I do get hit I lose all 3 rotors and am 'shot down' with the hull still almost completely intact- usually only the rotors, the armor around the rotors, and a few electroplates having gotten lost. That same bank of thrusters that improves acceleration and handling while flying also allows me to skid along the ground in a damaged state in the hopes of limping to a medic or back to my fusion shield.

I've gone 17/1 in games with this design because of how durable it has proven itself.

I should add you then, we could run a platoon together. My win rate is about 50-50, though there are nights where I'll have a bunch of bad games in a row and just throw in the towel to play again some other time. My T7 hull is similar to my T8 hull, it just has the main body and tail section as one piece instead of two.

I love bots like yours because they're so structurally flimsy. You could be immobilized in seconds and lose half your firepower at the same time.
