i said i have an account not that i use it, i don't draw art so it's just there and i don't touch it.

Expecting others to see something you're referring to when we aren't you is kinda short sighted

I personally see nothing wrong with dA, but I'm rather reclusive anyway and avoid the forums and most of the mainstream areas.

Because I use dA for what it's main purpose is: a place to upload art.

Not the social side of things.

I have been using DeviantArt for years. I follow several hundred artists, have amassed a folder with dozens upon dozens of gigs of artworks of varying quality and theme. I never use the front page, instead get to artists through features and favourites of other artists I know, and the realtively new "more like this" function. And I honestly don't see how it's becoming worse. Maybe you should elaborate.

All I know about DA getting worse is them using really obstructive advertisements on mobile.

Moving on though, I just saw somebody with vitiligo I think it's called? Was kinda cool.

Rubbing it in your faces... by way of a tiny little icon in the top banner of the site, so small that several here failed to even notice this until it was pointed out to them, advertising a feature which has already existed on the site for years and hasn't undergone any considerable changes?

Yeah, one of the advertised features is that you get a 'core' icon next to your name - the same as the star you've always gotten for being a premium member.

I know they had a little star next to their names before. But it was just that; A little star. Now, this star is quite a lot bigger and designed to stand out. My problem isn't that this is shown, my problem is that this is shown in such a way that they are basically telling you "whether or not you want this, you still want this". And that's just not ok.

If we keep letting them make things worse bit by bit, we won't notice just how much they already did. That's their strategy, and anyone familiar with how large corporations work will know this.
