There isn't one of any of those, really. It kind of evolved from the crazy side mini-RP stuff that still happens occasionally here.

No, he did more than that.
Anyways, my friends list is about to get a lot smaller.
You all say you care, but when i screw up, fall down, get lost... it gets rubbed in my face.
That's a HORRIBLE way to treat a friend.
For the love of god man, you killed yourself for the umphundredth time and we're telling you that the new rules you were absolutely aware of when you committed suicide by combat don't allow us to revive you, especially since you decided that you had to be special and deviate from those rules, which has really tied our hands on the matter. Not to mention leaving one thread to publicly mope in another about how we're awful friends for enforcing rules is a horrible way to treat the community.
Thank god something off topic.

Quick question. If you die, then you drop one of them crystals, right? And from what I understand, if it breaks, or isn't recovered or somesuch, then you stay dead. But would it be impossible to create a robotic entity with a personality similar to the dead person based on memorys of said person? Just wondering.

It wasn't even that he died in battle or had to be put down to prevent collateral damage. That alone would have just resulted in a clean and usable crystal ready for activation and revival.
What got him was that he had to be edgy and say the crystal was already blackened and cracked when it was recovered- which places it clearly in the do not revive category according to the established system for bringing people back. Which was put in place exactly because Marxon would get blown up all the time, and with that he at least had a way to come back safely.
He died so hard he stays dead this time. Done deal, unless Ehksidian is willing to allow an exception to the rules that were designed with Marxon and Penguin in mind.
I've said repeatedly, just make a new character and try not to die so much because sooner or later this was bound to happen.

If you had an engram lying around sure.

No, no. What I meant was an AI similar to the dead person. For example, look at The Boss AI in MGSPW. It functions as an AI, but has a personality based on information about The Boss.

Now I admittedly haven't been following the RP for a few weeks but as I understood it he made a big scene about killing himself once with some monster thing, then miraculously came back to do a heroic last stand against it, practically had to force Austin to run away so he could die valiantly and off-screen, then did a weird zombie routine as part of his endeavors to snowflake himself into perma-death.

Well you can make an AI based on anyone, living or dead, but a "digital clone" of sorts would require a relatively up to date engram.

Forget about the engrams. This is difficult to explain... Again, with the Peace Walker AI, there were no engrams, so The Boss was ''brought back'' based on files describing her, as well as other documents.
You know what Marx?
Edit by Reks: Spoilered because this is kind of personal, people can choose whether or not to see it.
The reason some of the community may seem to treat you badly is because that is what you make it out to be. On the rare occasion that they are treating you badly, does that really matter? After all, you treat the rest of the community far worse and we try our damndest to forgive you every single time.
You consider everything to be a personal attack against you even when it isn't. You complain when people post fetishy stuff and then go around like "oh hurr durr I am SO OBESE AND I EAT WAAAY TOO MUCH" and don't even think that it may make people uncomfortable. You constantly act depressed and complain about how terrible you are and then turn on people when they try to cheer you up. You publicly announce your problems constantly even when people have told you not to do that repeatedly. You ignore any advice given to you except the rare occasion where you agree and then completely fail to do anything related to the advice, instead deciding to just come here and complain some more.
Congrats, asshole, you're the first on my ignore list, and until you smarten up for real for once, you will remain there.

Which isn't really bringing somebody back, it's just creating an imitation.

Exactly what I mean. Would that be possible in the RP, just out of curiosity?

Personal attack if I ever saw one.
Completely unexpected strategy Cotton, he's not only missing the point, he's opted to ignore it and get angry at the person making it.
Absolutely incredibly Bob, always an interesting tactic to see in action.
I'm sorry I had to.
I could do the smart thing and apologize and shut up, but we all know you won't forgive me anymore.
Maybe I should burn all the bridges then end this mess...

Yes, that was a personal attack. One of
very few that have actually been done against you.
The reason? I'm sick of your constant whining. ABOUT. EVERY. SINGLE. THING.
Goodbye Nexus. Maybe if I feel better tomorrow or in a few days, I'll come back, but for all intents and purposes consider me gone for now.

I have a question.
I'd thought of joining up in the RP and occasionally posting, but using a character who is dislocated from time and space, becoming semi-corporeal and conscious only in rainfall- a ghost, effectively.
Would a character that's near unkillable, but is entirely incapable of interacting with anything beyond speaking (and only be coherent during 'rain' events, literally vanishing from existence until the next rainstorm) be too far outside of the rules?
I'm mostly curious for opinions, because I'm not sure if I want to take part in the RP just yet.

Now your simply being ridicoulous. I get that your pissed, but that's no reason to leave, Marx. Seriously, calm down. Everybody here has their own points, and all of them are correct. Still, Marx, you need to calm down. I want to stay neutral in this, but I will say that you are being a bit excessive. At the same time, your... statements were not required, Shaadaris.
